My name is Lucy and I am a Website Design, Social Media and IT Professional who provides bespoke Website Design and Social Media services to help clients navigate the digital maze and grow their online presence.
I have designed and developed websites for businesses in different sectors, including architecture, art, beauty, consultancy and networking, education, female gambling addiction, health and safety, holiday cottages, neurodiversity, private investigation services, a gym, a nutritionist, and a theatre company.
For some of these clients, I have gone on to manage their websites for them on an ongoing basis with bespoke packages to fit their requirements.
Alongside this, I have also taken on the day to day management of clients’ existing websites which has involved tasks including software updates to adding content, new pages, new features and functionality, etc.
In addition, I have also established some collaborative partnerships with other organisations to provide website design and development services to their clients, and they provide services to my clients.
I have managed the social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) for a teacher training organisation. As part of this role, I created content to market their courses. During my time in the role, the number of followers and engagement with the posts increased. Alongside the social media account management, I have also created marketing materials for web and print distribution.
I have also developed a Microsoft Access based database system for the PGCE Course Team at Keele University, which they used for over ten years. They reluctantly stopped using it when the university introduced a university-wide database system.
I have been a lover of computers since a young child and there is even a photo of me as an 18 month child trying to have a go at typing and using a computer!
As a follower of the ever-developing and changing technology world, I am always looking for ways to enhance my skills and try out new software and technologies to keep up with the latest developments. I am always coming up with new ideas to incorporate into my client projects.
